Stop it! Stop it, I say!

Call me suspicious, but when the likes of Toynbee of all people start talking about immigration being a bad thing ('immigration is now making the rich richer and the poor poorer') I reach for my bullshit detector. The non-chattering classes have been saying this for decades and until now it always evoked the same retort from Toynbee and her ilk: 'Ignorant racism, nothing more'. But suddenly immigration is bad for us, after being such a good thing all these years if only we had been enlightened enough to see it as Toynbee does. Suddenly it's pc to say what the average 'racist'-in-the-street has always known. Why is that, you ask yourself? Well, my guess is that it's because the new immigrants don't fit the profile. The left needs and has exploited non-European immigration for its transparently Marxist ends. There is nothing a Marxist likes more than a victim, and poor, huddled masses of semi-literate villagers from South Asia are just perfect. Politically malleable and electorally valuable, welfare-dependents because very often unmployable, they are a read-made victim class. Toynbee-Galloway cannon fodder by the million. Ideal for the Gordon Brown economic model: pack the vote with welfare dependents, disgruntled by their observation of the native aspirant classes. Perfect. And now we have large numbers of educated, independent (vanishingly few claim state benefits or bring dependents with them) and industrious people with no 'clash of civilisations' baggage who just come here, maintain themselves and work hard, and not a victim among them. Worse, they are (gasp!) white and to an extent that must baffle and horrify Toynbee, Christian churchgoers. Well, we simply can't have it, can we? It would upset the social engineering applecart completely. It must be stopped. Except, of course: 'It would be a disaster for the EU to refuse entry altogether to countries that need help to grow, especially Turkey, a Muslim nation we need to include.' How despicable is the economically and philosophically illiterate Toynbee. She and her ilk are bitter hypocrites. Her friends in power are vicious social engineers who care nothing for the damage for which they are cynical apologists. I would call Toynbee a liar if I didn't think she really believes what she writes, which only makes her more dangerous.
