Trotskyist runs London's economy
Not new news but my excuse is that I am not a Londoner. I just stumbled across this.
The Mayor of London's Director of Economics is one John Ross. The page at that link describes him as 'a former business consultant advising international mining, financial and commercial companies'.
I wonder which commercial companies...
In the 1990s, he was on duty with trade unions in the Soviet Union when called to Red Ken's side in London. Among the great ideas that got Ross hired by London's Mayor (now), he thought union members should be allowed to form militia units. "This is the only peaceful road to socialism. The ruling class must know that they will be killed if they do not allow a takeover by the workers. If we aren't armed there will be a bloodbath." - from the Guardian (2004).
Wikipedia: Ross was the leader of the majority faction of the Trotskytist Socialist Action group. That name was adopted in 1982 when the International Marxist group entered the Labour Party. Working with increasing secrecy in the Labour Party, they became supporters of Ken Livingstone and the Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs . They are involved in the publication of Socialist Campaign Group News and their members have maintained leading positions in many campaigns - the National Abortion Campaign, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, National Assembly Against Racism and various coalitions against the wars against Iraq, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia, for example. As a result, Socialist Action exert an influence beyond that which might be expected from so small a grouping.

You certainly know how to sniff them out. Well done on John Ross after the Blair criminality. Hope you don't think I stole your post.
