Why there isn't a universal popular outcry, led by the Opposition and the newspapers in unison, for Gordon Brown's head on a spike overthrow of the government in Parliament followed by an early general Election.
The state of both economy and sterling is dangerous, frightening and the government's fault. Brown is flailing about him, completely at a loss. He knows he is finished with his reputation beyond salvage and is now going for scorched earth.
Hello? Is everyone asleep?
Or maybe I am a bit previous and it will happen - just, not now.
I think Victoria Wood said it best, when she memorably quipped:
ReplyDelete"There'll only ever be a revolution in Britain if the Government banned car-boot sales and caravanning".
Judging by the blank, gormless expressions I see daily, and the number of people who tell me 'politics is pointless' - I guess she was right.
Makes you want to weep, doesn't it?
D
Sir,
ReplyDelete(a) what opposition?
(b) the only way to force Brown to go early would be a defeat in parliament on a motion of 'no confidence' and for that we would need an effective (a). Were such a vote to take place Brown would whip his party - and they have a majority I believe?
Unless of course you are thinking of doing a 'Cromwell' in which case - got an AK47 for me?
Newspapers have got to think of their advertising revenue.
ReplyDeleteBringing down the government would probably upset many of those who butter their bread.
Politics is pointless look where its got us and look just how impossible it is to change anything or prevent a mad man taking over as has happened. The only answer will be violence on the streets it should be organised, no demonstrations as they are futile but burn down Labour Cabinet ministers houses first and work your way down the rest of the order until sanity is restored and measures put in place to prevent this sort of Government ever happening again but all the fraudulent bsatrads should be punished to the maximum confiscating all ill gotten goods and wealth to pay off the countries debt.
ReplyDeletePersonally I blame the BBC. Relentless Brown-nosing confuses the masses.
ReplyDeleteI'll take an AK47 too if there are any going.
Whoops - who's that knocking on my front door?
Don't expect any support from regional independent radio, what proportion of their advertising income comes from state propaganda ( do this don't do that )? Most of it .
