Of course Hannan's right. That's why They want him strung up: the Unison/Labour block vote; the terrified-of-losing Cameroons who have ceded the NHS to its commissars in perpetuity for predictably cowardly pragmatic reasons.
This is what Marx would have called 'Godzilla politics' had he only known about Godzilla. The NHS is 'too big to fail'. The great work of the Labour Party. And it's killing people, even as it tells them to sit over there, shut up and wait their turn. Makes you proud, doesn't it? Doesn't it?
The irony is that if the Leader of the Conservative Party spoke like Hannan he would sweep the electoral board.

Hear, hear. This has been a depressing day, with the BBC leading every bulletin with such appalling anti-Tory propaganda, and Cameron capitulating in the face of it.
ReplyDeleteDon't the Conservatives realise that truth can cut through lies? That confidence (a la Hannan) in their position would speak louder than a thousand Andy Burnhams? They could be on every bulletin demanding a fair hearing from the BBC and telling it like it is... and they would win. The British people may be battered by a decade of spin, but they can still smell sh*t when it's being thrown at them.
And even if the Conservatives were put down once again by the shower that controls the BBC/Guardian/education system - at least they could say, 'we always told the truth'. And hold their heads up high.
Alas, Mr Tebbit was right the other day. Duncan gets away with it, Hannan gets the rebuke. All for the sake of a few confused floating voters.
It's that bloody 'nasty party' stupidity all over again.
We are not. And we never have been.
We're the ones that care about our poor and damaged country.
