He also resigned as Labour leader so that he would not have to face Cameron over the Despatch Box. Instead, he lurks on the back benches gnawing on the bones of his overpowering belief in his infallability. For an author of books on courage, he appears to lack much of it himself. He appears scarecly able to believe that the electorate has rejected him. Like too many socialist, he now believes not that he delivered the wrong government but that he had the wrong population.
