Can't see the problem, myself.

It's not about breaking up the public services. It is - or should be - about breaking up the egregious, megalith, self-serving, monopoly suppliers of public services in order to deliver improved services to the public.

  1. If these services are not directly accountable to their users and simply go through the usual provisioning process they will just be another conspiracy against the public. John Lewis has to make money in an actual market.
