What rhymes with 'anchor'?

"Labour's shadow cabinet needs to acknowledge that it doesn't understand business, has almost no direct and relevant experience and, accordingly distrusts and is distrusted by business.
This needs correcting. If this is done we might see the emergence of more serious pro-growth policies than some of the inept and inconsequential nonsense that previously masqueraded as business policy."
Lord Myners, Gordon Brown's banker friend, via Paul Waugh.

Oho, what's this, what's this?
"We set up the Financial Services Authority.... That was a big mistake. We did not understand just how entangled things were.
We did not understand how risk was spread across the system, we did not understand the entanglements of different institutions and we did not understand, even though we talked about it, just how global things were.
So we created a monitoring system which looked at individual institutions. That was the big mistake."
Thus Gordon Brown, saviour of the world world banking system.

Anyone remember watching Brown in the Commons and struttting about the world's financial meetings during the banking crisis? Yes, me too.

Anyone remember him ever admitting an error while he was in office? Nor do I.

Arse.

Vain arse.

Criminally arrogant arse.

Arse.

  1. Any apology from NuLabor is one made with their fingers crossed behind their backs.

Even the monitoring of several individual institutions would have alerted the Bufty frae Kirkcaldy & Blinky that things were going wrong.
However if they didn't hear what they wanted from their underlings, they bullied them into massaging it for public consumption.

Never, ever again can any of the present Labour Party be allowed back into government. They're all too tainted from their last spell in charge.
