So tell me, Mr Straw, when did you first notice that the European parliament was so undemocratic that it should be abolished?

Was it before or after you became Foreign Secretary?

Was it before or after you told Gordon Brown, with your hand on your heart and tears in your eyes, that if he signed the Lisbon Treaty you would resign and bring down the government and screw Le Projet because the defence of democracy was the principle which had governed your entire adult life, you could do no other, you would rather die than betray your conscience, etc.?
